No day will be the same, This role should give you the opportunity to stretch your abilities to the max, to see, touch and feel the whole business, the results of your efforts, and have as much responsibility as you can handle. 

The Day to Day 

  • Managing the event logistics for our virtual and in-person conferences
    • Supplier contract negotiations
    • Speaker & Sponsor Management. 
    • Understanding our virtual platforms, training our speakers, making sure they come on time. 
    • Customer Service 
    • Manage Our Awards Program
  • Office Administration and management of electronic filing
  • Managing the recruitment, onboarding and staff management processes

Requirements

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Polished emails and proper phone etiquette are a must. You also need to be able to present situations clearly and accurately, as well as be persuasive from time to time. You will be regularly drafting emails, so top-notch writing skills are a huge asset.
  • Strong project management skills. Highly organised. Keen to clean up previous projects and files, and put new processes in place. 
  • Attention to detail, ensuring a high accuracy of outputs in a fast-paced environment
  • 2:1 Degree Holder, ideally in business management or office management. 
  • Curious and a strong appetite to learn, including identifying learning opportunities and going the extra mile to achieve results with a can-do attitude
  • Calm and able to deliver a constant level of work, even during times of high pressure, 
  • Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines with minimal management
  • Impressive negotiating skills. You should not be afraid of being a hard negotiator, walking away, low-balling, or playing one competitor off against another. This is particularly important, when you are negotiating hotel and supplier contracts on behalf of the CEO for our conferences. 
  • You need to have natural tech prowess, and be proficient in the myriad systems, apps, and plugins that the CEO uses or should use to maximize collaboration, productivity and automation. As well experienced in using Apple Macs. Advanced Technology skills, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint experience is a must
  • Do you have supernatural anticipation, see ten moves ahead, and anticipate issues before they become full blown problems, or able to anticipate needs and see beyond the obvious solutions, 
  • Strong analytical skill set in any situation, evaluate the world through a logical lens. questioning facts, figures, and statistics when they don’t seem right. 
  • Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines with minimal management
  • You are a natural self-starter and an extremely proactive quick learner
  • Office administration skills, including bookkeeping and recruitment prefered
  • Experience in event management or marketing would be advantageous
